Alana is a Skillset specialist in negotiation, investigative interviewing, resolving conflict and people skills. She coaches executives and team leaders in communication skills and helps teams work together more effectively.

About Alana

An experienced learning and development specialist, Alana has trained thousands of adults in New Zealand and across the Asia Pacific region.

Her background in counselling, negotiation, forensic linguistics and human behaviour, create a wide range of experience, skills and knowledge. She combines psychology with practical methods to create the best outcomes for learners and organisations.

Alana is an interviewing specialist with extensive experience in the PEACE framework and investigative interviewing methodologies. Alana holds membership with the International Investigative Interviewing Research Group (IIIRG) based in the UK. She attends international conferences with IIIRG and has published an article in the IIIRG academic journal.

Alana is also an accredited conflict partnership facilitator (mediator) in the method adopted by the UN for peace-making and pioneered by Nobel peace prize nominee Dr Dudley Weeks.

Alana is a ‘resource person’ for the United Nations (Food and Agriculture) and has provided negotiation training and capability building services for the UNFAO.

Alana brings an eclectic range of skills and a great sense of humour to her workshops and relationships with colleagues and clients.
