Dealing with difficult, unreasonable or challenging behaviours
How to safely manage unpleasant interactions
The problem
Does your team deal with difficult people? Or people who challenge their decisions or the organisations way of doing things? Is 10-20% or more of their time spent dealing with angry, unreasonable or abusive behaviours? Have they experienced unsafe interactions and been unsure how to respond? Are you worried about a future incident? We can help.
The solution
Our active learning workshops help staff understand why people behave badly and how to manage the interactions well and safely. Your team will learn an easy way to differentiate between angry and abusive behaviours so they can decide whether to de-escalate or disengage from the situation. This workshop is heavy on psychology, communication skills and body language tactics to stop things from escalating and help teams recognise what might make things better or worse. Staff learn how to communicate calmly and confidently and do tricky things such as say no without increasing tension.
We are happy to chat and identify how we might help you – while giving you the opportunity to see if we’re a good fit for your needs.
